I had an excellent experience at this hotel, enjoyed the wonderful, cozy atmosphere, and loved the marvellous location in a stunning area that truly captures the essence of beautiful Cantabria.

In the cantabrian mountains and less than a mile away from Santander for the ferry - ideal after touring North East Spain on motorbikes. Very welcoming host who spoke perfect English as our spanish very limited! Attention for detail and top quality finishings. Beautiful location, simple but nicely cooked food. Would have liked to have stayed for longer than one night. Would highly recommend.

My must haves' are an airy, modern room with wine, beautifully pressed linen, as for instance. The breakfasts is abundant and delicious with a huge variety of food. The staff are really helpful and fairly friendly, and the atmosphere is special!

The riverside location, charming rooms, comfortable beds and friendly, helpful staff. The meals were adequate and there was plenty for breakfast.
It could be a little cool on the covered terraza where dinner was served and not till about nine p.m.

The calm sound of the river beneath our windows & morning birdsong are keynotes of this woodbeamed country hotel. Cosy rooms overlook river and wooded hills. Downstairs a salon, large conservatory, restaurant, and friendly bar offer atmosphere & well cooked food. Even more relaxing are the jacuzzi and sauna. Excellent staff pinpointed a fascinating day´s tour of waterfalls, walks, intriguing museums & 22,000 yr old cave paintings.
Nothing to fault. With good map reading it is little more than an hour´s drive of Bilbao and Santander. But in another world.

The staff very kind and helpful. Hotel, rooms, surrounding are just fabulous.
Only 1 hour of using spa is free. Fine, but very weak breakfast.

This hotel in a rural area is a fantastic find! The location, perched on a bridge over the Rio Gandara, offers stunning scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff, especially Emilio, is incredibly helpful and goes above and beyond to assist non-Spanish speakers like myself. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with a private terrace to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast is basic continental, but the verandah restaurant serves delicious and reasonably priced meals, showcasing the local cuisine. The attention to detail in the hotel's decor and amenities, like the impressively multifunctional shower, really impressed me.
All was perfect.

I absolutely adored the charming decor of La Casa Del Puente. The rustic and cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. The general areas of the hotel were beautifully maintained, providing a peaceful environment for relaxation. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The staff ensured that everything was easily reachable and comfortable for older guests like myself.
I would have loved to see more personalized attention from the children working there. A little extra care and attention to detail would have made my vacation even more enjoyable.

Text: The rooms provide a delightful view of the bubbling river, perfect for a serene retreat. The staff was helpful, suggesting plenty of activities. The spa area was lovely, offering relaxation and a chance to unwind. Only downside: no jacuzzi and sauna for me to enjoy - what a shame!
